Β· 2026-06-27T19:33:58.954000+00:00Best place to buy small amounts of XMR or LTC (less than $20). Okay, so....I used a crypto fee calculator to estimate the fees for buying LTC, converting it to XMR on Cake Wallet, and then sending it to another XMR wallet. My goal was to end up with $62 in the final wallet, but I only received $58. The system appears to have miscalculated the fees, even though I specified the exchange I was using on Cake Wallet (MP), since it had the best rate at this time & typically always does for LYC to XMR swaps on cake. Since the minimum LTC purchase on Cake is $20, Iβd like to know the best way to buy a small amount of LTC or XMR so I can transfer it through Cake and end up with the full $62 I originally planned for. Only looking to end up with $4 in the final wallet. So accounting for fees, I want to buy about $10 in LTC and transfer it to cake to then swap.it for CMR for swap to it's final wallet. Is coinbase My best option? I'd prefer not to have to make an entirely new wallet and write down and store another group of seeds and phrases on paper & one of My encrypted thumb drives.

Β· 2026-06-27T18:31:10.588000+00:00Memory prices Is there any reconsideration happening around RandomX now that memory prices are becoming prohibitively expensive? The purpose behind a memory-heavy algo was to ensure cpu farms with little memory are at a disadvantage and something like a gaming PC could remain competitive. I see a new problem this past year of large centralized orgs buying up all the RAM and squeezing the little guy, make RAM more of a luxury and less of a commodity. We all know big tech is inherently a surveillance business. So, how much hashrate could these hundreds of data centers reach if they saw Monero as a network to disrupt?

Β· 2026-06-27T19:26:46.783000+00:00Help So i have the Monero GUI on a Ubuntu pc running the p2pool mini. Im only running at avg 1900H/s. Not a lot but I was getting .0002 at the minimum every other day. Havent gotten anything in 12days. Is it just the worst luck? Checked observer and it says my p2pool is running on the old version but I updated monero to 0.18.5.0 soon as it came out. Changed the start up flags to that folder and deleted the old folder. I have a Win11 pc I also run the Monero GUI on that runs at avg 8500H/s, observer says the same thing, im on am old version of p2pool but I just got my first payout. (This pc just finished syncing yesterday). So im thinking the out of date p2pool really isnt the issue. Is this just the worst luck? Any advice on where to look for definite answers? Thanks yall

Β· 2026-06-27T10:05:12.570000+00:00The real privacy problem isnβt on-chain itβs the fiat exit Most privacy talk in crypto focuses strictly on ledger transactions: Monero, mixers, coinjoins, and cold storage protocols. But the systemic bottleneck remains identical across the board: the physical exit point back to cash. You can maintain perfect opsec on chain, but the moment those assets touch a centralized exchange or a traditional bank wire, legacy KYC compliance and AML flags tie the digital footprint directly back to a real-world identity. The final step effectively unravels the entire privacy chain. This friction has given rise to alternative infrastructure models that attempt to bypass the banking layer entirely by delivering physical fiat via localized couriers or mail the framework utilized by platforms.
