Custom Pairs on Pump fun are way more interesting than I expected I thought Custom Pairs just meant launching against something other than SOL then I looked through the supported assets and saw AMC, PONS, SPX, tokenized Tesla and a bunch of other stuff. Pumpfun basically gave people a way to build memes directly around the asset everyone is already talking about instead of forcing everything back into another SOL pair. If AMC starts going crazy again, you can have a meme market that is paired against AMC. The pricing happens around that asset and the fees from the market are collected in the paired asset too. That feels a lot more useful than another stock meme with the right name and no real connection to the thing it is copying
